Conflict Integration
The visual integration technique, also called the visual squash, is one of the most useful processes in NLP in that it is sometime the perfect thing to do. If someone wants to be motivated to exercise, for instance, it is often important to bring together the part of them that wants to exercise with the part of them who does not want to exercise. Once they are working together towards a common positive intent, then exercise can be a more peaceful process. The same holds for many, many issues. Eating disorders are another example of a conflict. In bolemia, one part wants to binge and the other part wants to purge. Bringing the two parts together under a common higher positive intent can be very useful.
